Yes, track fashion has certainly changed since I did running in late 1970s. My times were a lot worse than those shown here!

My legs tend to be rather white and slimmer nowadays, except in the warmer months when I wear shorts everyday.

Just looking at some of the other runners in what was a really high quality field. Steve Lacy was one of the very best, fastest milers of all time back in 1982, Paul Cummings in grey (now dead) was a world class runner at many distances. Graeme Fell (not shown) was an Olympic steeplechaser. I surprised a few people by winning this one, especially by kicking twice to hold off Lacy, who on paper was way faster than me at shorter distances.
